Emmaus Europe is a young organisation, founded in 2005. It is however part of a process that began in November 1949, with the meeting of two people from different backgrounds who wanted to help those who suffer most.

306 member groups finance the activities of Emmaus International through their daily work. They operate in 36 countries and are divided into 4 regions (Africa, America, Asia and Europe). The diversity of their activities can be surprising for those who don't know the international movement that well!
